Writing and Me

William Blake 1757-1827

Love’s Secret by William Blake

Never seek to tell thy love,

Love that never told can be;

For the gentle wind doth move

Silently, invisibly.

I told my love, I told my love,

I told her all my heart,

Trembling, cold, in ghastly fears.

Ah! She did depart!

Soon after she was gone from me,

A traveller came by,

Silently, invisibly:

He took her with a sigh.

Poetry is a powerful, emotional thing. As you can tell by my frequent poetry inspiration posts, poetry never fails to inspire and motivate my in my writing. It is almost like getting a peek into another perspective; it may not be my own perspective, but correlates to that of one of my characters.
