Character Interview: Adam Lovick

I’ve been waiting to introduce Adam Lovick to those of you who haven’t read my EVO Nation series.

He may not be the MC, but he is soooo important in the narrative. Adam is one of my favourite characters because he is simply a decent person.

Interview:

Adam, can you describe yourself in just three words?

Loyal, worry-wort, and determined.

Do you think some of your qualities are factors of your intense TORO training?

Qualities and faults; it’s just swings and roundabouts. I’m lucky that I still feel like me after what I went through – what all TORO went through. I wanted to keep those memories as a reminder, and I guess I get the benefit of the training in everyday life.

Would you go through it all again?

To be where we are now, with the people I call family… Definitely. Would I do anything differently? I would save a few more lives. Man, I miss so many people because of the war, but the war itself was necessary.

Describe being EVO in three words.

Can I describe the journey it has taken me on in three words? Self-discovery, acceptance, and obligation.

I also just want to add that I am bloody proud to be EVO.

Character Interview: Teddie Leason

Theyda ‘Teddie’ Leason is the protag in my first book series, EVO Nation. I started taking notes and drafting parts of EVO Nation 9 years ago! I feel that Teddie has been with me much longer, and now, she’s here with you…

Interview:

Teddie, what do you want to be remembered as?

The girl who didn’t stop ’til it was done.

The best moment of your life?

The days after it all. I mean, it’s weird trying to figure out where I fit in this new world, but I wake up every day, I’m surrounded by people I love, and I get to just be Teddie, and not shared out as a million, distorted versions of myself. Seriously, everyone wanted a piece of who they thought I was.

The worst moment of your life?

Wow, I have so many and they all involve someone dying. I’d rather not go into detail.

What would you say are you best traits?

I’m loyal, I treat friends as family, and I’m strong willed.

What would you say are your worst traits?

Sometimes, I need to listen more to the people who care about me. Their advice is given in love.

What quote do you chose to live by?

‘Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.’

That is a quote by Charles. R. Swindoll. I have it framed on the wall. It was a gift from Adam.

I’m thrilled to welcome more new followers to Writerly Bookish Stuff, and this 4 week promo series of my books couldn’t have come at a better time. My second, official blog series starts on April 10th, so I had 4 weeks spare to get a little shameless self promotion posts out there.

First up is my trilogy of books, my first complete series, EVO Nation Series.

You can find my books on my Amazon author page. And guess what???? I have a massive promo running. EVO Nation is free for five days (13th- 17th). Go and grab your copy!

This series will always hold a special place in my heart as it is my first completed series. I love my characters, and ending book 3 felt like I was saying goodbye to good friends.

Praise for EVO Nation:

K.J.Chapman has done what I was afraid to attempt, and the results were pretty spectacular.’ – Goodreads review.

The themes explored add a depth to this story while the narrative grips from start to finish unapologetically.’ – Goodreads review.

I absolutely love this book!!! I could not put it down and read it in two sittings. – Amazon review.

An amazingly written novel that drew me in with both an incredible writing style and captivating story line.’ – Amazon review.

For the past month, I have been taking part in #FictFBFeb17 hosted by Faith Rivens. You can find Faith and this challenge on Twitter and Instagram~ @faith_therivens.

#FictFBFeb17 has now come to an end. I would like to thank Faith for hosting such a brilliant exercise. This challenge allowed us to take an indepth look at our characters, and offer readers insight into their stories. Not only that, as a result of this challenge, I have new names to add to my ARC readers list, and have had readers message me to let me know that they downloaded my EVO Nation series thanks to my posts! What a brilliant result. Thank you to everyone who has shared and commented on my posts, and a big thank you to those who have asked for ARCs when Zombie Playlist is finished.

I chose to feature Teddie Leason from the EVO Nation series, and Dagger, the protagonist from a novella I am currently working on, Zombie Playlist. Each day was a different theme, and here are my posts from the last week.
